Producer Shiralee Saul, SBS TV. An animated adaptation of ‘The Skeleton Woman’, a traditional Inuit folk tale from Canada commissioned for SBS TV’s World Tales project.
The film was made under camera with a blue screen background. UV light and glow paint were used to create a high contrast image. Early 3D animation of the 80’s was an inspiration for the process. Backgrounds were Photoshopped from digital photographs of wax models. Total budget for the film was $7,400.

About ‘Whyspers’ was made over 6 months as a second semester project of the RMIT University 1 year Graduate Diploma in Animation and Interactive Media. The film was shot on color negative 16mm film without video assisted previews and no video compositing was used. The film was completed in March 2000 on a budget of AU$1900
